The Power of Community - How Cuba Survived Peak Oil

This film was screened at the Wicklow Transition Group's Cuba night April 2010. Although it tells the story of Cuba, it is an example of one way a country and community can address the economic and other problems associated with Peak Oil. When Cuba lost access to Soviet oil in the early 1990s, the country faced an immediate crisis – feeding the population – and an ongoing challenge: how to create a new low-energy society.
