Store Hours
Our online shop is always open, but the store in Glenealy is closed during January 2012, see you in February!
Ireland has a rich tradition of skills and crafts which are in danger of being lost.
This unique heritage weekend explores old Irish skills from both the Traveller culture and the settled community.
Members of the public can attend displays and training of exciting trades such as:
- copper smithing
- drystone walling
- knitting/weaving
- herb gardening
- miniature caravan modeling
- furniture restoration
- fishing skills
Through this demonstration day, we hope to explore the possibility of re-developing these traditional skills for modern use.
This event is open to everyone and is free of charge.
The day runs from 10-4, with displays at 11am and 2pm, and will be running on both Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September.
There will light refreshments available for participants.
Free shuttle bus all day (stops opposite the pub in Glenealy).
If you are driving, please car pool if possible (limited parking at the farm).
This project was part funded by County Wicklow Partnership through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in Rural Areas.
