Our online shop is always open, but the store in Glenealy is closed during January 2012, see you in February!
This Saturday and every Saturday until Christmas, OOOOBY has brought together local food, crafts, books, fairtrade & ecological gifts, all chosen to allow you to get something special for a very reasonable cost.
There are a large variety of gifts on display, with more than 30 items priced less than €5, making it easier to give gifts on a tight budget.
The very popular sweet and savoury favourites from local producers will be here, including some speciality gluten-free, wheat-free, egg-free and vegan items. You can also place your holiday food orders and have everything ready for you in time for the holidays.
You can also pick up a CHRISTMAS TREE, get fresh local vegetables, local organic eggs, local ice cream and gardening books & supplies.
Please help support the non profit OOOOBY Store by passing the word around: forward this email, put up our poster at your organisation, and call in to do a bit of fun, local eco-friendly Christmas shopping, have an organic hot chocolate, fairtrade coffee or tea and some fresh home bakes while you browse the shop & stalls.
The OOOOBY Store is located at the Glenealy Landscape Centre, Glenealy village. Opening hours: every Saturday to Christmas 11:30-3:30; also Tue-Thu from 10-5.
Craft Circle
The next meeting of the OOOOBY Crafts Circle is Saturday 12th December, and will run from 2pm to 4/5pm at the OOOOBY Store. We will have the chance to make some Christmas Angels using flax again, so i hope you will come along and try that, and do please bring any projects along with you to show us, and to work on in the group.
GIY Glenealy Wicklow Southeast
GIY (Grow It Yourself) is for everyone at every level of gardening. The group meets at the OOOOBY Store on the third Saturday of each month from 1-2pm. The next meeting is on Saturday 19 December, there is no charge and new people are always welcome.

A Hyperbolic Crochet Gathering is happening in The Yarn Room, Ashford, this Friday the 4th December, all day - its a chance to get involved crocheting some coral for an exhibition in Dublin to save the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. More details from The Yarn Room
Save money on wholefoods & other items
People want to eat healthy food, but everyone is also very conscious of cost. The idea behind the OOOOBY pre-order system is to save you money on healthy wholefoods and other items. There are more than 5,000 products available, we have a few samples for sale in the Store, but in most cases, you need to use our online catalogue to pre-order exactly what you want. Orders that are in by Thursday lunchtime will be ready for collection the following Saturday. If you need help using the system or finding a product, please contact us & we'll be happy to help. We're all used to just going into the supermarket and getting what we need instantly, planing ahead and using a pre-order approach does take some getting used to, but those who have gotten into the habit are very happy with it. If you have any suggestions about how to make it easier to understand and use, please tell us!
