A WOW (Wicklow and Our World) Transition Towns event. All ages welcome to come and spend some time at Carraig Dúlra, Organic Farm. Explore the willow dome and tunnels, awaken your senses in the herb labyrinth and picnic in the meadow or nearby woods. Tea and Coffee available.
Cookery Demonstration Thursday 27 May at 8:30 pm - Catherine Fulvio of Ballyknocken cookery school will demonstrate the art of transforming local produce into fine international cuisine. The demo will be at the Dominican Ecology Centre, Wicklow Town. Cost is €20 / €15 unwaged. Tickets available from the Ecology Centre Office. This is a WOW (Wicklow and Our World) event in partnership with An Tairseach Ecology Centre and Wicklow Arts Festival. New woodworking courses - These have just been launched by designer & master craftsman Chaim Factor, taking place in his new workshop in Avoca. Chaim, who has projects in Trinity College, The Four Courts, The Senate Buildings at Dail Eireann, The National Concert Hall and locally, and has work in Tokyo, Sydney, Paris, and other places in public and private collections, is teaching a series of fine woodworking courses here in Co Wicklow, for beginners, intermediate and advanced woodworkers. Refer to his course schedule, which also includes a woodwork for women course and custom courses in musical instrument making. Grow it Yourself gardening group - Saturday 19th June from 1-2pm. The very popular "Grow It Yourself" gardening group meets again from 1-2pm at the OOOOBY Store. It's free and you don't need to register.

Organic Seedlings available
For those who didn't get a chance to grow from seed, or had difficulty with your seeds, we have certified organic seedlings for sale at the shop. The selection available changes as new plants grow, currently at the store are Cabbage, Salad Bowl Lettuce, Cornflower, Mullein, Nigella Damascena, Morning Glory, Pineapple Sage, Limanthes, Sweet Pea, Golden Marjoram, Silver Posey Thyme, Dill, and Rosemary.
Organic 'pest' control
Protect your plants from slugs and other unwelcome garden visitors without petrochemicals or poisons! We stock safe 'pest' controls with natural safe ingredients (e.g. slug pellets that are safe for hedgehogs and birds, garlic concentrate, chrysanthemum etc).
Wholefoods bulk orders
For families looking to eat more healthily but in an affordable way, we have a weekly bulk order from a wholefoods supplier, where you can get organic and natural products, for example, flour, rice, pasta, tinned organic foods, dried fruit, spices, drinks, etc, at low cost. Order by Thursday and it will be available in the Store on Saturday; shipping/delivery is also available. See our Product Search page or the main catalogue.
