Opinel

Opinel knives have been manufactured since 1890 in the town of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in the Savoie region of France. They were invented by Joseph Opinel as a simple working man's or peasant's knife, which proved popular with the local farmers, herdsmen, and paysans-vignerons (peasant winemakers) of the area. Today, Opinel has about 100 employees making roughly 4 million items per year, exported all over the world. Please note that we will not sell knives to minors.

Opinel Pruning Knife

With its curved blade bevelled on both sides, this is the ideal tool for shrub pruning, cutting ties, etc.  The handle has a hole so you can carry/hang your knife on a cord.  The Blade is made from high grade carbon, and locks in both the open or closed position.  The handle is made of varnished beech wood.
