From Wicklow in Ireland, Andrew is a geologist and natural resources management specialist with 20 years’ experience in environment project management and administration in Switzerland, Germany, Mexico, Ireland, China, Kenya, South Sudan, Haiti and Afghanistan.
He is currently engaged as CEO/Founder with an environmental design and project services firm, UPM and working from an Irish base on projects abroad. His work consists of supporting the governments and international partners to create and operate best-practice models for environmental conservation and management including fecal sludge and waste management. This work involves applying science and technical expertise, but also a strong emphasis on building global and regional networks and partnerships.
In Ireland, Andrew and friends have started a homestead on 5 acres, from ecological and practical principles as part of the Wicklow Mountains National Park and Environs landscape approach to nature conservation. This project part of the Global Ecovillage Network and is at the design-build stage. We welcome inputs and collaboration.
